Recycling Event For Narragansett, SK Residents May 1

Residents can shred documents for free or drop off unwanted electronics.

NARRAGANSETT, RI — The towns of Narragansett and South Kingstown will hold a recycling event for residents May 1. Shredding services will be available, as well as a drop-off site for unwanted household electronics and certain appliances.

The event will be held at Narragansett Town Beach, 77 Boston Neck Rd., from 8 a.m. to noon. Residents of Narragansett and South Kingstown can bring up to two boxes each of papers to shred. Household electronics, such as computers, printers and TVs, can be dropped off free of charge. Appliances containing Freon can be dropped off for $10 each.

All attendees will be required to wear a mask and maintain social distance from others.
