Rhode Island Philharmonic Holding Four Free Summer Pops Concerts
The Rhode Island Philharmonic will perform four free al fresco concerts this summer.
The Rhode Island Philharmonic will hold a series of free Summer Pops concerts across Rhode Island over the next few months. The four outdoor concerts will include famous classical pieces as well as popular soundtracks such as the music of Star Wars.
Concerts will be held on the following dates:
- July 12: Narragansett Town Beach, 8 p.m. (rain date July 13)
- August 7: Roger Williams Park Temple To Music, Providence, 7 p.m. (rain date August 8)
- September 1: Independence Park, Bristol, 6 p.m. (rain date September 2)
- September 14: Slater Memorial Park, Pawtucket, 5:30 p.m. (rain date September 15)
The concerts will include the following musical pieces, though they will not be played in the order listed. Individual concert programs have not been announced at this time.

The Summer Pops series will be conducted by Francisco Noya, the Rhode Island Philharmonic's resident conductor for 23 seasons. Noya conducts the yearly Link Up education series, Pops and Summer Pops concerts.
