Rhode Island's Bay Day Is July 29: Governor

Parking at the state beaches is free on Bay Day. So are round-trip RIPTA bus rides from URI to Galilee.

NARRAGANSETT, RI—The Governor's Bay Day is set for Sunday, July 29. Parking at state beaches is free that day. So is saltwater fishing in state waters (without a fishing license).

The Route 66 bus, which runs round trips to the beaches between the University of Rhode Island and Galilee, is also free. (It's first come, first served.)

The state beaches are:

Charlestown Breachway, Charlestown, RI

East Beach, Charlestown, RI

East Matunuck State Beach, South Kingstown, RI

Misquamicut State Beach, Westerly, RI

Roger W. Wheeler State Beach, Narragansett, RI

Salty Brine State Beach, Narragansett, RI

Scarborough State Beaches (North and South), Narragansett, RI
