RI DMV: All Systems Go: Licenses Can Be Processed Again
The state Division of Motor Vehicles says the computer problem has been fixed, and it can process licenses again.

CRANSTON, RI—The computer problem has been fixed at the state Division of Motor Vehicles. On Tuesday and Wednesday, no licenses could be processed because the computers at the national clearinghouse were down. The reason, according to the American Association of Motor Vehicles, was due to a problem with the state registry's connection to Verizon. Other transactions were not affected.
