RI Weather: Humid, Unsettled Day Ahead Of Cooler Temps To Come

It's another hot, humid day in Rhode Island, but relief is on the way. After a day of unsettled weather and scattered thunderstorms, a cool front is expected to bring lower temperatures and humidity.

There's a chance of showers and thunderstorms throughout the day Tuesday, with periods of heavy rain possible. Temperatures are expected to peak in the low 80s, with high humidity.

Changes are in the forecast starting in the evening, with temperatures falling to the high 60s with lower humidity.

Expect sunny skies for the rest of the week, with temperatures in the high 70s to low 80s.

A chance of showers and thunderstorms, then showers and possibly a thunderstorm after 2 p.m. Some of the storms could produce heavy rain. Temperature falling to around 69 by 5 p.m. West wind 7 to 9 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80 percent.
