RI Weather: Next Chance Of Snow Friday Night But Only For Some

The forecast calls for cold weather. The next chance of snow comes Friday night for much of the state.

EAST GREENWICH, RI — Temperatures will stay downright wintry until Monday. Next chance of snow comes Friday night, but it's not coming to everybody. Narragansett, Newport and even Coventry have snow in the forecast, although it shouldn't amount to much. In Providence, the chance of snow is slight, and it isn't even mentioned for the Woonsocket forecast.

Here is the forecast for East Greenwich.

Friday
Increasing clouds, with a high near 31. Northwest wind around 6 mph becoming southwest in the afternoon.
Friday Night
A chance of snow, mainly before 8pm. Cloudy, then gradually becoming partly cloudy, with a low around 26. West wind 6 to 10 mph, with gusts as high as 21 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.
Saturday
Mostly sunny, with a high near 36. West wind 10 to 16 mph.
Saturday Night
Mostly clear, with a low around 25. Northwest wind 9 to 13 mph.
Sunday
A slight chance of rain after 4pm. Mostly sunny, with a high near 38. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
Sunday Night
A chance of rain and snow before 1am, then a chance of rain between 1am and 4am, then a chance of rain and snow after 4am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 31. Chance of precipitation is 40%.
Monday
A chance of rain and snow before 9am, then a chance of rain between 9am and 11am. Partly sunny, with a high near 43. Chance of precipitation is 40%.
