According to Steve Wright, the parks and rec director, this Scarecrows in the Park event is the Town's fourth annual.

The contestants all had to pre-register for the contest by Sept. 30, but everyone can come and watch. Besides pants, a shirt, a hat, gloves and a lot of hay, it takes about 15 plastic bags to stuff a scarecrow's head, according to the parks and rec department.
