SK Man Charged With Drunken Driving

South Kingstown Man Charged With Drunken Driving
Christopher M. Lee, 34, of 97 Liberty Lane, South Kingstown, was arrested at about 6:32 p.m. on March 13 and charged with drunken driving, and cited for refusing to submit to a chemical test.

According to police, they received a report of a truck rolling over on Kingstown Road. Police said they responded and were able to remove the driver – Lee – from the truck.
Police said that while speaking with Lee, he smelled of alcohol and did not answer questions asked by police, fire or rescue personnel. Police said Lee submitted to one field sobriety tests, which he failed, at which point he was arrested.

According to police, an inventory of Lee’s truck and the surrounding area revealed two unopened Sierra Nevada Pale Ale beers, several broken bottles and Zig Zag rolling papers.
Police said while being treated at South County Hospital and while being processed at headquarters, Lee refused to submit to chemical breath tests. He was processed and then released at about 11:54 p.m. Police said Lee sustained minor injuries.
South Kingstown Man Arrested for Warrant
Jeffrey Scott Monroe, 43, of 38 Rolens Drive, Apt. #A4, South Kingstown, was arrested at about 6:04 p.m. on March 13. Police said a Third Division District Court warrant was out for his arrest.
According to police, an officer familiar with Monroe from previous arrests saw him walking on Kingstown Road near Curtis Corner Road. Police said a background check confirmed that a warrant was out for Monroe’s arrest.
Police said Monroe denied knowing about the warrant, but otherwise, was arrested without incident. South Kingstown police said the warrant was loaded by North Kingstown police on Jan. 3, for charges of domestic assault and domestic disorderly conduct.
According to police, officers from North Kingstown picked Monroe up from their station at 8:52 p.m.
