SK Police Cite 2 For Licenses

Police make two minor citations for driver's license violations. South Kingstown police logs from April 12 and April 13, 2013.

South Kingstown Woman Charged With License Violation

Lindsey J. Oatley, 32, of 38 Dendron Road, South Kingstown, was arrested at about 1:42 p.m. on April 12 and charged with driving with a suspended license.

According to police, an officer monitoring traffic on Route 138 near the Old Fernwood Cemetery clocked a blue Kia at 38 miles per hour in a 25 mile per hour zone. A traffic stop was made near Waites Corner Road.

Police said a background check of the driver – Oatley – revealed that her license and the car’s registration were both suspended. Police said she was arrested without incident.

According to police, Oatley was processed at headquarters and then released at about 3 p.m. She was also cited for the registration violation, and warned for speeding.

South Kingstown Man Charged With License Violation

Oscar A. Muralles, 33, of 36 Rolens Drive, Apt. #A4, South Kingstown, was arrested at about 7:17 p.m. on April 12 and charged with driving without a license.

According to police, they noted a car swerving on Kingstown Road near Columbia Road. A traffic stop was made as a result.

Police said a background check revealed that Muralles did not have a license. He was arrested without incident, processed at headquarters and then released at about 8:46 p.m.
