SK Police Log: December 1, 2012
A woman is charged with domestic disorderly conduct, and two teens are charged with possession of marijuana.

Kingston Woman Charged With Domestic Disorderly Conduct
Vanessa E. Langevin, 29, of 43 Mountain Laurel Drive, Kingston, was arrested at about 8:38 p.m. on Dec. 1 and charged with domestic disorderly conduct.

According to police, they received a phone call from the victim, who said that Langevin was causing a disturbance at his home and he wanted her removed. Police said when they arrived, they saw a several destroyed decorative pumpkins in the front yard, along with tire tracks.
Police said that based on interviews, Langevin and the victim had an argument after Langevin came home intoxicated. The victim told police that he was tired of Langevin’s drinking problem and wanted he removed from his house.

According to police, based on the evidence at the scene and the victim’s statement, Langevin was charged with domestic disorderly conduct. A no-contact order was also issued.
Police said while processing Langevin at headquarters, she uttered to police, “I should stab him.” She was processed and then released to a family member at about 12:50 a.m. on Dec. 2.
URI Student, 17-Year-Old Charged With Possession of Marijuana; Machete Confiscated
Luke P. Wandelear, 18, of 264 Marcy St., Southbridge, MA, and a 17-year-old boy from Cranston were arrested at about 2:39 p.m. on Dec. 1 and charged with possession of marijuana. Police said Wandelear is a student at the University of Rhode Island.
According to police, an officer noted that Wandelear was not wearing a seat belt was he was traveling in a green Buick on High Street. A traffic stop was made near Oak Dell Street.
Police said the car smelled of marijuana, and when the 17-year-old was questioned about it, he told police that there was some in the car underneath Wandelear’s seat.
According to police, a search of the car revealed a small amount of marijuana, and a machete. As a result, both were arrested and charged with possession of marijuana.
The boy was processed and then released at about 3:53 p.m. Wandelear was processed and then released at about 4:12 p.m.
URI Student Cited for Alcohol Violation
Melissa K. O’Donnell, 20, of 28 Valley Vale Drive, Old Bridge, NJ, was cited at about 6:40 p.m. on Dec. 1 and charged with transportation of alcohol by a minor. Police said O’Donnell is a student at the University of Rhode Island.
According to police, an officer driving behind a white Honda Civic on Kingstown Road noted that it was traveling without headlights on. Police said that the lights were eventually turned on, but this revealed that the right tail light was defective.
As a result, a traffic stop was made near Rhody Joe’s. Police said that during the stop, a bottle of Bacardi Dragon Berry Rum and a bottle of Skyy Vodka could be seen on the passenger-side floorboard.
A background check of the driver – O’Donnell – revealed that she was underage. The alcohol was confiscated and she was cited as a result.
