According to police, an officer was posted at a home on Oakwoods Drive because a fire had taken place there the previous night. Police said access to the house was barred because it was under investigation by the fire marshal, both as a potential crime scene and for structural integrity, and also by detectives, because a significant number of marijuana plants were present.

Police said that a woman, a man and Jarmoszko approached the property at various points. However, because of the safety concerns about the building, they were told multiple times not to enter.

According to police, Jarmoszko and the woman left at about 8:45 a.m. However, police said that at about 9 a.m., they saw movement inside the building, and Jarmoszko was seen exiting by the garage.

Police said when they told Jarmoszko to stop, he threw six small marijuana plants from his pockets on to the ground, at which point police caught up to him and arrested him without further incident.

According to police, Jarmoszko was processed without incident and then released at about 10 a.m.
