SK’s ‘Castle’ Emdalar On Market

According to realtors and a press agent working for the estate, the Emdalar property on Post Road in South Kingstown – casually referred to as the Castle by some – is now up for sale.

A website has been made for the property here. Highlights include nine bedrooms, 5.5 bathrooms, 11 fireplaces, 7,000 square feet of living space and no listed price tag.

The home was designed by McKim, Mead and White, an American architectural firm that was kind of a big deal.

According to online Vision Appraisal records from the town, in 2011 the home was valued at $400,000, with the land at $200,100. (Given the property’s historical status, tax credits and other discounts might be in play – Please consult your attorney and realtor, of course.)
