South Kingstown Holding Paint Dropoff Event July 24
Mark your calendars, now's your chance to clear out that shelf of old, half-used paint cans.
SOUTH KINGSTOWN, RI — The town of South Kingstown is sponsoring a community paint drop-off event July 24.
The event will be open to Rhode Island residents and businesses. It will be held from 8 a.m. to noon at the Town Hall at 180 High Street in Wakefield.
The following items will be accepted:

- House paint and primer, both latex and oil-based
- Stains
- Deck and concrete sealers
- Clear finishes such as varnishes or shellac
Leaking, unlabeled or empty containers cannot be accepted, as well as spray paint or any drum or container larger than five gallons.
Preregistration is required, and can be completed online.

The day of the event, all paint must be placed in the vehicle's trunk. Drivers will be asked to stay in their vehicle during drop-off, and a staff member will remove the paint.
