SOUTH KINGSTOWN, RI — After the coronavirus pandemic forced the cancellation of the 2020 parade, South Kingstown's Memorial Day celebration is back on for 2021. The parade will be held May 31, followed by the traditional wreath-laying ceremony.

The planning committee is looking for members of the community interested in being a part of the parade, including veterans and organizations of all types: community, civic or military.

"Your support and involvement, especially this year, will reflect the Town's commitment to continuing this sacred, patriotic tradition for years to come," Steve Stewart, the parade chairman, said in a letter to the community.
