Town Of Narragansett To Flush Hydrants Throughout Rest Of May

Dirty water and periods of low water pressure are possible.

NARRAGANSETT, RI — Narragansett's Water Division is set to flush the fire hydrants in the north end of its water system throughout May 28, the town announced this week. Flushing began on Thursday.

Flushing is set to take place between 7 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. During this period, SUEZ customers could experience discolored water or low pressure. While inconvenient, changes in pressure are temperature, the town said in a news release.

Customers who experience dirty water should turn their water off, wait a short time then run cold water until the dirt clears.
