URI To Allow 2 Guests Per Graduate At Commencement
Commencement weekend will be held May 21 to 23, with graduation ceremonies held in the football stadium.

KINGSTON, RI — University of Rhode Island graduates will be allowed up to two guests per person at commencement, the school announced this week. This is a major shift from the initial plan, which would have only allowed graduates themselves to attend the ceremony in person.
"We are pleased to have been able to make this change and look forward to celebrating the Class of 2021 in May," the university said in a statement.
Commencement weekend will be held May 21 to 23, with graduation ceremonies happening at Meade Stadium. Both graduates and guests will be required to have a ticket to get inside the football stadium.
