KINGSTON, RI — The Braintree, Massachusetts man thrown out of a Boston Celtics game and arrested over the weekend is a University of Rhode Island student, according to reports. Cole Buckley, 21, was charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon after he was accused of throwing a water bottle at Kyrie Irving's head.

Following his removal, TD Garden management also handed Buckley a lifetime ban from all events at the arena.

Buckley is a URI student, a spokesperson for the university confirmed. The matter "has been referred to the URI student conduct process," Dave Lavallee said, which could result in consequences ranging from a warning to suspension. Buckley is also a member of Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity, which could result in separate disciplinary actions, he said.
