URI & Tomorrow Fund Penguin Plunge
Kinda cold out to be going in the ocean today but some brave souls did for a good cause
As well as having a photography business I also do work for major insurance companies photographing the exterior and interior of residential homes. As luck would have it I had to fill in for the person that is assigned to cover the Narragansett territory and I had 6 home surveys that needed to be completed today. I knew I was under the gun to get this work done in a timely manner so I got up extra early and planned my entire day. By noon time I was feeling really good since I had completed 5 of the 6 surveys. One more to do and my work was done for the day. By chance my GPS unit takes me past Narragansett town beach on the way to my last job and I noticed an unusual amount of cars in the beach parking lot on such a cold winters day. Me being the curious type I pulled into the lot and discovered that URI was holding a penguin plunge to benefit The Tomorrow Fund and I just happened to have my camera with me. So here are some pictures of the brave souls that went into the ocean for a great cause. I hope you enjoy the photos as much as I enjoyed taking them. And a reminder to anyone reading this, If you think your cold this winter imagine how these brave kids feel doing this. Have an awesome day and keep everything in your life positive.
