Watch a Sheep Get Shorn at South County Museum

Ever wanted to watch a sheep get shorn? You know you have.
Here’s your chance.
A sheep shearing demonstration will take place at the Living History Farm at South County Museum on Sunday, May 17 from 10 a.m.to noon.

This is also an opportunity to visit the RI Red Chicken Heritage flock, one of only two flocks on public display in the state. This event is free and open to the general public. Other exhibit buildings will not be open on this day. For a calendar of events and hours of operation check southcountymuseum.org.
South County Museum is located at 115 Strathmore Street, Narragansett, RI. It is an eight acre, campus style museum located five minutes from the Narragansett Pier. There are seven exhibit buildings including a one-room schoolhouse, a blacksmith shop, a living history farm, as well as access to the Canonchet Farm walking trails. The museum is open from May to October.
