Water Ban This Weekend For Narragansett-South Kingstown

NARRAGANSETT, RI—The ban on outdoor watering has been expanded, town officials said Friday. There's now no outdoor watering allowed on the weekend for customer on these systems:

• SUEZ Water Rhode Island water system customers
• Town of South Kingstown South Shore and Middlebridge water system customers; and
• Town of Narragansett water system customers.

The weekend ban is effective immediately. It goes from 6 p.m. Friday through midnight Sunday until further notice. It's in addition to the earlier odd-even ban in effect weekdays so people with even-numbered addresses can only water on even-numbered dates, and people with odd-numbered addresses can only water on odd-numbered dates.

Kingston Water District customers are not under a ban.
