Water Restrictions in Narragansett and South Kingstown

Both Narragansett and South Kingstown have enacted an even/odd ban on outdoor water use in anticipation of a short drinking water supply.

Both Narragansett and South Kingstown have enacted bans on outdoor water usage as an anticipatory measure to ensure sufficient supply to meet customer drinking supply needs.

Thanks to the massive heat wave sweeping across the country - and Rhode Island's south shore each town has enacted an odd/even ban

  • In South Kingstown there is an outdoor water use ban on alternate odd and even days for their South Shore and Middlebridge Water Customers. Customers with an odd number street address may water only on odd number days, while customers with an even number street address may water only on even number days. This water restriction is being enacted to ensure sufficient supply during heavy summertime consumer demand.
  • In Narragansett there is an outdoor water use ban on alternate odd and even days. Customers with an odd number street address may water only on odd number weekdays, while customers with an even number street address may water only on even number weekdays.

Water customers are encouraged to use water wisely.
