SOUTH KINGSTOWN, RI — As the coronavirus vaccination effort ramps up across Rhode Island, South Kingstown is taking steps to keep residents informed and ready for wider availability.

Town employees are working to confirm contact information for residents aged 75 and older, the current focus of the vaccination effort. Anyone who has already been contacted by the town does not need to reach out again. Residents who have not confirmed their information can do so by calling the senior center 401-789-0268. If a staff member does not answer the call, please leave a message with the name, phone number, address and date of birth. It can take up to five business days to get a call back, since call volumes are high. To allow the town of focus on residents 75 and older, anyone not in this group is asked not to call with their information at this time.

Starting next week, the town will receive about 210 vaccines per week from the Rhode Island Department of Health, for four weeks. Seniors will receive a call to schedule their appointment, starting with the oldest residents.
