What's Open, Closed On Veterans Day In RI
Veterans Day falls on a Sunday in 2018. The official observance is Monday, but some, like Newport's Redwood Library, are also closed Sunday.

Nov. 11 is Veterans Day, when we honor men and women who have served in the military. This year, it falls on a Sunday. So, many towns are kicking off the parades on Sunday. But the federal government and many communities are observing the holiday on Monday. The Middletown Public Library and the Redwood Library in Newport are among those celebrating on both Sunday and Monday. Here's a quick round-up of what's closed and open.
