Which RI Beaches Are Closing For Wednesday?
The state recommends closing Goddard Park, Kent County YMCA Upper Pond, Echo Lake Campground Beach in Glocester & Camp Hoffman in Kingston.
EAST GREENWICH, RI — The state health department on Tuesday recommended closing Goddard Park, Kent County YMCA Upper Pond, Echo Lake Campground Beach in Glocester and Camp Hoffman in Kingston. The reason is high bacteria counts. Also, two other beaches —Kingston Camp in Kingston and Kent County YMCA Lower Pond in Warwick — were closed earlier and will stay closed.
One beach, Conimicut Point Beach in Warwick, can re-open. For the latest beach information, call 401-222-2751.
