​Writers inspired by a day on the pond

Writers gather at studio of Grace Farrell for exploration of procrastination. The day long retreat attracted writers from several states.

September 27, 2018 (Charlestown, RI) – Poetry, Prose, and Procrastination was the topic for the day last Saturday, (Sept. 25,) when 14 writer's gathered from Rhode Island, New York, New Hampshire and Connecticut for the Carolina Fiber and Fiction Center's first workshop at the Studio on the Pond. Participants wrote, shared work, were nourished in body, mind and spirit, and explored the challenges and gifts of procrastination. The program was presented by Fiber and Fiction Center co-founder Grace Farrell and award-winning journalist, Patricia Ann Chaffee.

A second writer's workshop is being presented on October 6th titled Beachcombing Your Memoir and registration is now being accepted. CFFC's Studio on the Pond, is located on the Rhode Island shore in Charlestown. Call (860)536-0051 or email gfarrell@butler.edu to register or for more information.
