Judith S. Sheindlin, known to millions as television's Judge Judy, has bought the late Dorrance Hamilton's "The Bird House" for $9 million.

NEWPORT, RI — Judith S. Sheindlin, known to millions as television's Judge Judy, has bought "The Bird House," the late Dorrance Hamilton's estate for $9 million. The closing was Monday, according to the realtor.com website. The house had been on the market for almost a year (349) days and ultimately sold for 28 percent less than the original asking price.
