Allie's Donuts Reopens Wednesday

New septic system, new pavement, new trees, renovated interior — RI's favorite donut shop is almost back and better than ever.

The iconic and one-and-only Allie’s Donuts in North Kingstown will finally be back open on Wednesday, Oct. 28 after a major construction project.

The donut shop has a “massive, brand new septic system,” a freshly-paved parking lot, two new trees and a renovated interior.

In a Facebook post on Saturday, the shop told eager customers who have been without their donut fixes since the abrupt Oct. 5 closure that “We also cannot take any further orders until we are open. You will not be able to place an order at all until the morning of Wednesday October 28th.”

“We appreciate everyone’s patience and support during the construction. It’s almost complete!” they said.

Allie’s Donuts is a household name in Rhode Island, known for its humble accommodations and known better for knockout donuts and their party-making donut cake that must be ordered in advance. A family-owned shop since 1968, loyal customers flock here beginning at 5 a.m. to collect donuts in their trademark white boxes with a red logo.
