Alzheimer's Association Offers North Kingstown Caregivers Help
The program lasts four sessions and helps educate family members with a loved one coping with the disease.

NORTH KINGSTOWN, RI — Caring for a loved one with Alzheimer's can be a daunting responsibility, but there is help. According to Michelle La France, with the state chapter of the Alzheimer's Association, the North Kingstown Senior Center will sponsor a four-week seminar to educate family members about the disease and the resources available.
The "Getting Started Education Series for Family Caregivers" is for family, caregivers and friends of people with Alzheimer's or a related memory disorder.
The sessions meet on the four Thursdays, Nov. 2, 9, 16 and 23 from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Senior Center, 44 Beach St.

Although the workshop is free, participants must register in advance by calling the Alzheimer's Association at 1-800-272-3900. The class is limited to 25.
