Art Studio To Share Space With Boutique
The ribbon cutting is set for Nov. 3 at 5:30 p.m.

From Gossip Boutique: Gossip Boutique recently celebrated their ten-year anniversary and they have announced they will incorporate visual art, alongside their uniquely curated collection of women’s apparel and accessories. Janelle Feigley said, "This change was a result of natural evolution and obvious to fulfill my needs as a working artist and to continue to push for the growth of the arts in Rhode Island.” Feigley, an artist and owner of Gossip Boutique, has seen an increase in demand for her artwork and designs internationally, and has hopes for continued growth in the arts in her community of Wickford and beyond. "At a time when social media and technology are dominating people's time and energy, I find the arts to be a great escape. People can connect to artwork in a way that is much greater than clicking a button to purchase a product online.
There is an innate connection between the artist and the buyer, and that is magical”, said Feigley. If you are
lucky, you will catch Feigley (elle art design) working amongst the beautiful fashions, at Gossip, located at 16
Main Street in Wickford Village. To mark the beginning of Breast Cancer Awareness this month, Feigley invited a woman a day to have her figure painted by her in support of increasing awareness and raising funds for breast cancer awareness. “It has been amazing to meet so many brave women who have shared their stories of having breast cancer or losing a friend or family member with me. This project is beyond breast cancer awareness. It is ultimately about connecting women and cheerleading one another.”- said Feigley.
On November 3, 2017 from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm, there is a ribbon cutting ceremony for invited guests to view the newly transformed Gossip Boutique to a combined working art studio. This date also marks the unveiling of her exhibit that will feature the women figures that she has been painting daily throughout the month of October.
