Celebrate with Lafayette Band, Fireworks at N.K. Beach, July 3
The free concert will begin at 7 p.m., followed at 9 p.m. by the town's traditional fireworks display, with a tribute to Al Southwick.

The Lafayette Band of North Kingstown will present its free annual Independence Day concert at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, July 3, at the North Kingstown Town Beach, 15 Beach St. The concert of patriotic and popular music will be followed at 9 p.m. by the town's traditional fireworks display.
The fireworks will be dedicated to celebrate the legendary Al Southwick, who passed away recently after nearly 50 years with the N.K. Parks and Recreation Department. Al was a positive influence for generations of young people, who devoted his entire career to making North Kingstown a wonderful place to live.
The Lafayette Band is led by conductor Bethany Clarke Bromley. Audience members are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets for seating. In case of rain, the concert and fireworks will be postponed to Saturday, July 6.
