Coronavirus: North Kingstown To Extend Transfer Station Limits
The North Kingstown Town Council has extended the transfer station restrictions through the end of the coronavirus health emergency.
NORTH KINGSTOWN, RI — The North Kingstown Town Council has extended the restrictions on the transfer station through the end of the new coronavirus state of emergency. Town Manager Ralph Mollis said the move was made to limit social interaction, traffic congestion and potential exposure to danger of town employees.
Until the state of emergency ends, all customers entering the transfer station will be required to provide proof of residency using a driver's license, vehicle registration, tax bill or utility bill to drop off refuse. All trash must have a North Kingstown tag affixed to it. There is no scaling of loads for residential customers.
No furniture, carpeting or any other household item not in a tagged bag will be accepted. Mattresses will not be accepted.
