Coronavirus: North Kingstown Golf Course To Stay Open

North Kingstown Golf Course is being kept open, with social distancing precautions, during the coronavirus pandemic state of emergency.

NORTH KINGSTOWN, RI — North Kingstown Golf Course is staying open amid the coronavirus pandemic. In an effort to provide those in isolation an outlet for some physical fitness and outdoor activity, the course is still taking foursomes, with some new guidelines for cleaning and social distancing.

Precautions taken include sanitizing golf carts after each use, and raising the golf cup so that the ball has to just hit the ball liner to be considered hole: "This means you don't have to touch the flagstick or retrieve your ball from the hole."

Social distancing is being observed in the pro shop. Dan's Tavern on The Green will be closed until further notice. Limited snacks are available in the shop with water, soda and Gatorade available from the vending machine.
