Election 2018: State Board Of Elections Finishes Recounts Monday
The state recounted votes in six races and rejected the requests to recount eight others. The review did not change election night results.

NORTH KINGSTOWN, RI — The state Board of Elections has completed recounts for the Nov. 6 election, according to Miguel Nunez, deputy director of elections. None of the winners and losers changed as a result of the review.
The state had received 14 recount requests but opted to conduct recounts in only six contests: the Coventry Town Council race, the North Kingstown Town Council race, the Smithfield Town Council race, the Scituate School Committee race and the races for District 28 and District 30 seats in the state House of Representatives.
In District 28, Republican George Nardone defeated Lucas W. Murray for former Rep. Robert Nardolillo's seat representing Coventry. The recount totals changed election night results by one vote.
