A Flawed Attempt to Convey a Positive Agenda

My last message to the Exeter voters concerned the negative and disingenuous campaigning exhibited in the first Mailer by the Exeter Republican Town Committee. This message is concerned with their latest Mailer attempting to claim and take ownership of a positive message. However, upon closer scrutiny that Mailer comes across as “SHAMEFULLY MISLEADING AND UNTRUE”!

· Their flyer begins with “ELECT CANDIATES WHO WILL PRESERVE EXETER” and I agree with that statement. Unfortunately, Dan Patterson, Frank Maher & Ray Morrissey have proven that they are not the candidates worthy of being elected on that basis when they passed Green Development’s Zone amendment over the Planning Board’s zone amendment. They sold out the town to allow rampant & unregulated large utility scale solar development in residential zones for their favored developer, and few select land owners and farmers.

· Their claim that they support agriculture and farmers is misleading. Their approved zone amendment for green Development only helps a select few landowners and farmers, not all!

· Their claim that they support landowner rights is also misleading because it leaves out the rights of abutting landowners to large utility scale solar facilities in residential zones.

· Their claim that responsible economic development is the key to the future of Exeter is correct, but their support for unregulated large utility scale solar facilities in residential zones shows their hypocrisy and lack of commitment to it.

This lack of sincerity and honesty is typical of the type of governance displayed by these incumbent town councilors. Exeter deserves better; please vote for me and the Democratic candidates for the Town Council on November 6, 2018.
