Lafayette Band Free Concert with N.K. Community Chorus, July 24

The groups will perform starting at 7 p.m. at the Band Shell, North Kingstown Town Beach, off Route 1A, Wickford.

The Lafayette Band of North Kingstown and the North Kingstown Community Chorus will join to present a free concert on Wed., July 24, at 7 p.m. at the Band Shell, North Kingstown Town Beach, off Route 1A, Wickford. Led by band conductor Bethany Clarke Bromley and chorus director Heather Skidds, the program will feature patriotic music, marches, show tunes and classics.

Audience members should bring lawn chairs and blankets for seating. In case of rain, the program will be moved inside the N.K. Community Center at the Town Beach.

The Lafayette Band is a nonprofit community concert band with a mission to strengthen North Kingstown and surrounding communities through music. Founded more than 135 years ago, it is one of the oldest bands in Rhode Island. Though based in North Kingstown, the band’s members reside in many communities in Southeast New England.
