Lafayette Band to play 'Children's Favorites' on July 31
Free concert starts at 7 p.m. at the NK Town Beach, featuring songs from movies and other productions popular with kids of all ages.

The Lafayette Band of North Kingstown will perform a free “Children’s Favorites” concert on Wednesday, July 31, at 7 p.m. at the Lafayette Band Stand, North Kingstown Town Beach, Beach St., off Rt. 1A. The program will feature songs from movies and other productions popular with kids of all ages.
This program was originally scheduled for July 17, but was postponed due to weather.
The musicians are led by conductor Bethany Clarke Bromley. Audience members are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets for seating. In case of rain, the concert will be moved indoors to the Community Center at the Town Beach.

The Lafayette Band is a nonprofit community concert band with a mission to strengthen North Kingstown and surrounding communities through music. Founded more than 135 years ago, it is one of the oldest bands in Rhode Island. Though based in North Kingstown, the band’s members reside in many communities in Southeast New England.
