NORTH KINGSTOWN, RI — A lane shift on Route 4 in both directions goes into effect on Monday as part of the Lafayette Railroad Bridge project in North Kingstown.
The Rhode Island Department of Transportation said the traffic pattern change will be just south of Exit 3 - which is Route 102/Wickford. All lanes will switch left, which will replace the current lane split.
Oversized trucks will no longer have to detour off the road.
