Police Log: Nails, Broken Windows And A Machete

Tuesday, Sept. 3, 8:42 a.m. – A State Street woman told police the maintenance man at her complex found nails under each of her car tires. No other nails were found in the lot. The woman said someone had put shaving cream on her car  the previous week.

Obituary: Christopher 'Pop' Popoloski, 45

Christopher "Pop" Popoloski, 45, passed away suddenly Friday. A resident of Providence and its unofficial mayor, he was a son of Georleen "Jolli" Howlett former owner of Botanica Flowers, E.G. and of North Kingstown and Louis Popoloski of Scituate.

Kimberley Fry Lawyer Fined $1,000 For Sharing Confidential Report

Superior Court Judge William E. Carnes Jr. has ordered a lawyer to pay $1,000 to the courts for releasing to the media a confidential report regarding Kimberly Fry, the North Kingstown mother convicted of killing her daughter in 2011.

NK Likes Quonset Block Island Ferry Idea, But Others Do Not

Police Log: An Arrest-Filled Saturday

Thursday, Aug. 29, 7:05 p.m. – Police were called to the Irving Gas station on Post Road because of man there who appeared to be drunk. The man had left by the time police arrived, but they found him walking by the Home Goods store near Dave's. The man said he was walking home, but was going in the opposite direction and appeared to be very drunk, so NKFD was called and he was taken to Kent Hospital for evaluation.
