Wickford Economic Panel Gets Down To Business

For the inaugural meeting of the Wickford Economic Development Advisory Board, members were asked to both introduce themselves and share what they thought should happen in Wickford. The response that garnered the most interest came from Giovanni Feroce, the CEO of Alex and Ani, which owns the Wilson's of Wickford site and has plans to open a Teas and Javas there.

Elise Mary Jackson, born Sept. 25, 2002, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 3, at Hasbro Children's Hospital after a prolonged five-month fight against a rare auto immune disease while awaiting a double lung transplant.

Investigators released the names of the people on the boat that ran aground off Prudence Island Saturday night, but are still investigating what caused the crash, which sent six of the seven occupants to area hospitals for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

Friday, Aug. 23, 7:45 a.m. – Police arrested Arthur Johnson, age and address unavailable, on three District Court bench warrants after he was stopped by police on the property of Mister Tree, 655 Tower Hill Road. He was processed at the station then taken to Third District Court.
