North Girls Host Successful Lacrosse Tournament

North Kingstown Youth Lacrosse

It was a beautiful day in Quonset for the first annual Girls North Classic Lacrosse Tournament. This past Sunday, the Division I team hosted teams from Connecticut and Rhode Island at the 7/8 level. The girls played excellent lacrosse on both offense and defense to secure a spot in the championship game. After defeating Mystic, CT, the team advanced to play South County in the finals. “It was a fun day playing teams we don’t always play and knowing that the games don’t count toward our record. We all had a great time”, said Phoebe Pullyblank, 7th grade. Tournament play is one of many opportunities offered to the NKYL players beyond their regular season games. In addition to great lacrosse, a BBQ and Del’s Lemononade rounded out the experience. Great job by the 7/8 DI girls and Go North!
