NORTH KINGSTOWN, RI — North Kingstown will begin selling passes for Town Beach on May 18 in anticipation of its opening by Memorial Day weekend. Town offices remain closes as of now due to the new coronavirus health crisis.

Gov. Gina Raimondo said that beaches are likely to be part of second phase of the phased-in reopening of the state and its economy that began this past weekend. She said that her hopes are to allow beaches to be opening by Memorial Day weekend in two weeks.

There will be a gate guard checking for passes. The gate guard will not be selling passes. They must be obtained prior to entering the beach. With town offices closed, passes will be sold outside of the building on days when weather is not inclement.
