North Kingstown Fireworks and Concert Set for July 2

Enjoy music from the Lafayette Band before the sky lights up above North Kingstown Town Beach.

NORTH KINGSTOWN, RI—North Kingstown will celebrate America, Independence Day, music and fireworks on July 2 at the North Kingstown Town Beach.

The annual concert and fireworks show is a favorite annual event among locals.

This year, the performance will take place on Saturday, offering North Kingstown residents to enjoy a town fireworks show close to home and keeping the night of July 4 free to have a cookout or catch another show in a different town.

The concert begins at 7 p.m. and the fireworks begin at dusk.

The musicians are led by conductor Bethany Clarke-Bromley. Audience members are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets for seating. In case of rain, the concert and fireworks will be postponed to Sunday, July 3.

The Lafayette Band is a nonprofit community concert band with a mission to strengthen North Kingstown and surrounding communities through music. Founded more than 130 years ago, it is one of the oldest bands in Rhode Island. Though based in North Kingstown, the band’s members reside in many communities in Southeast New England.
