North Kingstown Pet Refuge Nominated For $10K Donation Program
The nomination is part of D'Angelo Grilled Sandwiches' $10,000 Neighborhood Giveaway Program.
NORTH KINGSTOWN, RI — The North Kingstown-Exeter Animal Protection League, also known as the "Pet Refuge," has been nominated to participate in D’Angelo Grilled Sandwiches' $10,000 Neighborhood Giveaway Program.
As part of the program, each local D'Angelo restaurant was asked to nominate an organization in their community. As of Monday, customers are now able to cast their votes to choose which organization wins a $10,000 donation.
“What’s so exciting about this program is that we leave it to our guests and Team Members to decide where these funds will be used in their neighborhoods, and we can’t wait to see which D’Angelo wins and which organization receives the $10,000 donation," said Deena McKinley, CMO of D'Angelo Grilled Sandwiches, in a statement.

If the Pet Refuge wins the $10,000 donation, the money will be used to care for its kittens and cats, including providing all necessary medical treatments, including surgery.
“I am very pleased to have a chance at the opportunity to join the D’Angelo Family and spread the message that our four-legged friends need us the same way we need them,” said Renate Sager-Daniels, President of the North Kingstown-Exeter Animal Protection League, in a statement. “They give us such unconditional love and support and we should all be returning that love and support.”
