North Kingstown School Calendar 2018-19: First Day Of School

NORTH KINGSTOWN, RI — The first day of school in North Kingstown is September 4 — and whether you and the kids are looking forward to the new school year or are dreading the end of summer, you’ll want to mark the date on your calendar ASAP. The North Kingstown District has released its 2018-2019 calendar for public schools.

The calendar includes important dates, such as winter and spring vacations, religious holidays, federal holidays, early dismissals and parent-teacher conferences.

Here is the full list of dates to know for this school year:

• 9/4: First Day of School Grades 1-9/ Pre-K and Kindergarten Orientation
• 9/5: First Day of School Grades 10-12/First Day of School Pre-K and Kindergarten
• 9/12: No School (Professional Development)

October

• 10/8: No School (Columbus Day)
• 10/27: Grade 8 Open House

November

• 11/6: No School (Professional Development)
• 11/12: No School (Veterans Day Observed)
• 11/22 - 11/23: No School (Thanksgiving Recess)

December

• 12/24 - 12/31: No School (Holiday Recess)

January

• 1/1: No School (New Year's Day)
• 1/21: No School (Martin Luther King Jr. Day)

February

• 2/15: No School
• 2/18: No School (Presidents' Day)

March

• 3/13: No School

April

• 4/15 - 4/19: No School (Spring Recess)

May

• 5/27: No School (Memorial Day)
