Obituary: Audrey (Kibbie) Ortmann, 93

 Audrey (Kibbie) Ortmann, 93, of North Kingstown, passed away peacefully November 19. She was the wife of the late James H. Ortmann. Born in East Hartford, Conn., she was a daughter of the late Clayton W. and Honora (Johnson) Kibbie. 

She was an avid reader, baker, a past regent of the Pettaquamscutt Chapter DAR, a member of the Society of Mayflower Descendants and a 50 year member of Quidnessett Baptist Church. 

She leaves two children, Susan O. Place and her husband Edson of North Kingstown, and James C. Ortmann of Parkersburg, WV; a brother, Daniel C. Kibbie, and her grandchildren, Stacey A. Place and James E. Place. She was the sister of the late Gertrude Hollings.

Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Monday, November 25, 2013 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the Cranston-Murphy Funeral Home of Wickford, 140 West Main St., North Kingstown. A graveside service will follow in Quidnessett Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, gifts in her memory to the North Kingstown Food Pantry, P.O.
