Pauline I. (Strickland)(Golding) Renfro, 94, of North Kingstown, died peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on Feb. 17, 2016.

Pauline I. (Strickland)(Golding) Renfro, 94, of North Kingstown, died peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, February 17, 2016. She was the wife of the late Ernest H. Golding, Jr. and the late Douglas L. Renfro. Born in North Kingstown, she was a daughter of the late Amos K. Strickland, Sr. and Louise (Surprise) Strickland.
Mrs. Renfro worked as a police matron and dispatcher with the North Kingstown Police Department for 38 years until her retirement. She also worked at the former Earnshaw’s Drug Store of Wickford and the Rhode Island Hospital Trust as the head teller. She was a lifetime Deaconess of the First Baptist Church in North Kingstown. Active in her community, Mrs. Renfro was a member of the Business & Professional Womens Organization, Treasurer of the BE Doers of Wickford Baptist Church, and a volunteer at South County Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.
She was predeceased by her daughter, Roselyn (Golding) Oltedale and her son-in law, Edwin L. Laprise. She is survived by her son-in-law John K. Oltedale of East Greenwich, RI, her daughter Nancy L. (Golding) Laprise of North Kingstown, RI, her son Ernest H. Golding, III and his wife Alena Pysariw Golding of North Kingstown, a step-daughter, Donna Carpenter and her husband Charles Carpenter of North Kingstown, RI. Cherished grandmother of five grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren, One great-great grandchild. She was the sister of the late Amos K. Strickland, Jr. John S. Strickland, Helen Lawton, Sarah Strickland, and Eunice Hinchliffe.

Her Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, February 23, 2016 at 11:00 am in The First Baptist Church in North Kingstown, 1135 Tower Hill Road. Burial will follow in Quidnessett Memorial Cemetery. Relatives & friends are invited and may pay their respects at the CHURCH from 10:00 to 11:00 am prior to the service. Arrangements have been entrusted to THE CRANSTON-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME of WICKFORD.
