Russell C. Johnson, Sr., 84 passed away May 19, 2016. He was the husband of Shirley A. (Simpkins) Johnson. Born in Warwick he was a son of the late Henry and Alice (Walker) Johnson.
Mr. Johnson was a self-employed heavy equipment operator for many years and was a US Army veteran. Russ was a member of the Frenchtown Barn Club, an avid gardener and loved country music.
Besides his wife he is survived by two children, Russell C. Johnson, Jr. and Judith A. Johnson, three grandchildren; Christopher, Nicholas and Michelle, and his brother David Johnson.
A graveside service will be held on Monday May 23rd at 11:00 am in Glenwood Cemetery, East Greenwich.
