Obituary: Shirley H. (Arnold) Potter, 95, Greatest Joy was Family

POTTER, Shirley H. (Arnold), 95, of North Kingstown, died peacefully on May 23, 2016 at South County Hospital. She was the wife of the late John Edwin Potter. Born in North Kingstown, she was the daughter of the late Rufus W. Arnold and Ruth L. (Hall) Arnold.

Shirley is survived by one daughter, Jacquelyn E. Hanshaw of Edmond, Oklahoma. She was the mother of the late John E. Potter, Jr. formerly of Charlestown, RI and her son Warren Silvia of Ocala, FL.

Grammy Potter was the proud grandmother to three grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild. Her greatest joy was her family.

A fond thank you to all of the doctors, nurses, and staff at South County Hospital and Hope Hospice. You made her final days filled with comfort, care, and dignity.

Graveside Service will be held Friday, May 27, 2016 at 11:00 am in Elm Grove Cemetery, 960 Tower Hill Road, North Kingstown. Calling hours are respectfully omitted.
