Obituary: Susan E. (Roberts) Preston, RN, 62

Susan E. (Roberts) Preston, RN, 62, of North Kingstown, died peacefully at the RI Veterans Home on Thursday, Nov. 14. She was the beloved wife of LeMar S. Brown. Born in Newport, she was a daughter of Roger R. Roberts and Cynthia B. (Andrews) Roberts of Newport.

Susan worked as a registered nurse at Village House of Newport until her retirement. She proudly served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War. 

Besides her husband and parents, she leaves her two children, including Todd A. Preston of North Kingstown. Cherished grandmother of four grandchildren. She was the sister of Sean Roberts of Newport, Roger Roberts of Portsmouth, William Roberts of Texas, and Debbie Miller of Newport. 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, Nov. 22, at 10 a.m. in St. Bernard Church, 275 Tower Hill Road, Wickford. Burial with military honors will follow in the R.I.
