Police Log: Eggs, Marijuana, Stolen Jewelry, Several Domestics

Information about the following incidents was supplied by the North Kingstown Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Monday, Aug. 5

1:26 p.m. – Police arrested Christopher Brian Renaud, 53, of Pleasant Street in Warwick, on a warrant for domestic assault and disorderly conduct dating back to an incident July 7, 2012. He was arraigned and released on $1,000 personal recognizance, with a no-contact order for the woman he is accused of assaulting.

2:32 p.m. – Police arrested Dana Robert Hall, 21, of King Phillip Drive, on a warrant for possession of more than an ounce of marijuana, after he was stopped for speeding on Devil's Foot Road. Police found marijuana in the car at the time of the traffic stop and he was cited for it and the speeding. Later, at the station, the marijuana weighed out at 1.6 ounces so an warrant was issued. Hall turned himself into the station, was given a District Court summons, and released.

6:17 p.m. – Police arrested Phillip Arthur Davidson, 30, of Elmer Avenue in Warwick, for crank or obscene phone calls, after an ex-girlfriend, a resident of North Kingstown, complained about a series of text messages Davidson had sent her over recent weeks. He turned himself in after learning there was a warrant out for his arrest. He was arraigned and released on $1,000 personal recognizance. A condition of the bail was that he have no contact with the NK woman.

9:09 p.m. – Police arrested Jonathan M. Kelley, 34, of Butternut Drive, for driving while intoxicated, second offense, and refusing to take a alcohol breath test after he allegedly hit a telephone pole on West Allenton Road. When police questioned Kelley at the scene, he appeared to have been drinking. After failing a field sobriety test, he was taken into custody. At the police station, Kelley refused to take the breath test that measures blood alcohol levels. He was arraigned at the station and released on $1,000 personal recognizance bail.

Tuesday, Aug. 6

4:27 a.m. – Police arrested Brian Patrick Holden, 36, of Haverhill Avenue, for domestic assault and disorderly conduct after his live-in girlfriend told police he had hit her and threatened her during an argument. The woman left the residence and called police. Police took him into custody at their residence and held to be taken to District Court later in the morning.

1:05 p.m. – A Waterway Drive resident told police a neighbor had a tree removed that was on her property without permission. Police issued a no-trespass order against the neighbor. 

12:41 p.m. – Police arrested David Gregory Micallef, 34, of Post Road in Warwick, for larceny and six charges of receiving stolen goods after an investigation into a series of thefts in which his name came up in a data base tracking sales of high-priced jewelry at area pawn shops. A relative of Micallef's told police several of the pawned items belonged to his wife and himself – Micallef allegedly stole 29 items from the residence worth more than $10,000. He was taken into custody after trying to pawn a pair of gold earrings at Cash Advance America on Post Road. He was processed at the station. Because Micallef is currently serving a suspended prison sentence and is on probation, he was held pending arraignment at District Court.

7:32 p.m. – Police arrested Shannon Ternes, 42, of Pleasant Street in Westerly, on a shoplifting warrant, after allegedly stealing several fishing lures, other fishing items, some cigarette lighters and decorative tassels while at Walmart on Ten Rod Road on July 24. Ternes was watched by a Walmart "asset protection officer" who asked her to return to the store after she allegedly left with the items without paying. Westerly police made the arrest and turned her over to NKPD, where she was processed and held to be taken to District Court in the morning.

Wednesday, Aug. 7

6:56 p.m. – Police arrested Jonathan Robert Ilarraza, 21, of Sweet Lane, on a Third District Court bench warrant after police were called to his residence on a report of a possible disturbance. While at the scene, police did routine checks of the individuals present, turning up the warrant on an assault charge for Ilarraza. He was processed at the station then transferred to the ACI. 

7:46 a.m. – A Cole Drive resident told police someone had egged his car and his house sometime after 9 p.m. Tuesday.

9:47 a.m. – A Greenmeadow Circle resident told police the cars in his driveway and his house were egged overnight, sometime after 10 p.m. 

Thursday, Aug. 8

5:53 p.m. – Police arrested Frank D. Ciliberto, 61, of Post Road, on assault and disorderly conduct charges following an incident on July 31. According to the police report, Ciliberto allegedly hit a woman in the face after she had gone to his residence to seek payment for a motorcycle he had purchased from her in May. Police took Ciliberto into custody at his home. He was processed at the station and released with a District Court summons.
